permission levels: management, office, teachers
Information travels fast in a school. Rarely in the right direction.
A teacher off, a room changed, a trip postponed: the information leaves the school office and gets lost between the noticeboard, the pupil's diary and word of mouth.
The entrance noticeboard is never up to date
Someone has to print, trim and pin. Between the announcement and the notice going up, a day passes — sometimes more.
Parents find out too late
The note in the diary arrives in the evening, the group email gets lost. On the morning of the trip, half the pupils have the wrong kit.
The school office is on the phone all day
The same questions about timetables, holidays and activities, asked one by one, for want of somewhere the answer is visible.
What changes for a school.
The gain isn't the screen: it's that information now has a single starting point.
A change announced once, everywhere
The office publishes the cover arrangement; it appears at the entrance, in the parents' app and on the staffroom screen at the same moment.
Elsewhere: a printed sheet, an email, and a note in the diary.
Permissions that match how the school is run
Management approves, the office publishes, teachers propose. Each role sees what concerns it, and approval switches on if you want it.
Elsewhere: a shared account and a password on a sticky note.
Parents informed without a group email
One notification per post, one feed per class. Parents receive only what concerns their child.
Elsewhere: a mailing list nobody dares to maintain.
Three languages treated equally
The screen, the app and the console exist in French, Dutch and English. Useful in a bilingual school as much as in an international boarding school.
Elsewhere: an interface half translated.
03The platform
Four surfaces, one entry.
Publish once and it appears at the same moment on the screen, on the kiosk and in the app. The rest of the time, the screen runs on its own.
What pupils read before they come and ask
- Timetable changes and staff absences, read in the hall rather than at the office.
- Class projects and sports results, instead of an overloaded noticeboard.
- Several screens, several sites, one console.

Usable by a six-year-old and by a parent of sixty
- Visitors find the room, the floor and the person without going through the office.
- The week's diary, menus, administrative documents: freely available.
- Large targets and plain wording, because both audiences use the same screen.
Welcome
An official channel, alongside the parallel groups
- School information arriving through an identified channel, not a group chat.
- Photographs from a school trip, only to the parents of the pupils concerned.
- Image rights held pupil by pupil, reviewable at the start of each year.

The head publishes, the office completes
- Separate rights by role: each person publishes what concerns them, and nothing else.
- An urgent message — closure, weather warning — goes to all three surfaces at once.
- Content can be scheduled ahead, so nobody has to publish at 7am on a Monday.

One entry, three surfaces
Withdrawing a consent unpublishes the photo across all three surfaces, with no delay.
Three situations from the school week.
All start at the school office and end without a phone call.
The teacher who is off
The cover arrangement is published at 08:00. Pupils read it at the entrance, parents receive it before the end of the first period.
Thursday's trip
The kit reminder shows three days ahead and moves to the front the evening before.
The end-of-year show
Rehearsals go on the screen, photos go out in the app, and the hall fills without a round of phone calls.

06What you are buying
engagewall is software. The screen comes from our partner.
Better said before you sign than after: your subscription covers the platform, not the hardware. Screens and their installation go through Ynova, who invoice you directly.
Included in the subscription
- Admin console and role management
- Mobile app for families and relatives
- Kiosk and display module (the software part)
- Support through setup
- Team training
Not included — supplied by Ynova
- Physical screens and kiosks
- Hardware installation and mounting
- Hardware maintenance
- Connectivity plan
Ynova rents out the hardware and quotes for it separately. We make the introduction; you stay in charge of the negotiation.
07Personal data
What reassures families before it reassures IT.
Showing someone's photo in a reception area is not a technical detail. engagewall treats consent as a front-line feature, not a checkbox in the settings.
Granular consent
Each person concerned — or their legal representative — chooses what may be shown: photo on the screen, photo in the app, first name displayed, event announced. Declining is the default.
Immediate withdrawal
Withdrawing consent unpublishes the content in question across all three surfaces, with no technical intervention and no propagation delay.
European hosting
Data hosted in the European Union, encrypted in transit and at rest, and logged. Sub-processors listed in the register handed to the client.
Contract pack ready
Data processing agreement (GDPR article 28), record of processing activities, retention periods and the procedure for exercising rights, all provided on signature.
Questions from school management.
Yes, and it is the recommended setting in a school. There are three roles: management approves, the office publishes, teachers propose. Approval before publication switches on in one setting.
Only with the matching permission, requested pupil by pupil and separating the entrance screen from the parents' app. Declining is the default, and a withdrawal unpublishes immediately.
You decide what is shown outside opening hours. Many schools then display public information — timetables, enrolment, events — and hide anything concerning pupils.
No. The tier depends on the number of pupils. Adding a screen in the canteen or the staffroom falls under the Ynova hardware quote, not the software subscription.
Pilot programme 2026
Try thirty days. Decide after, not before.
Thirty days free on the subscription. We fit out a limited number of sites each quarter so we can keep support at this level.
The setup fee is still payable, and the hardware is quoted separately by Ynova. A reply within one working day.
- Thirty days' subscription free, every feature open
- Software setup and team onboarding
- A named contact throughout the trial
- No automatic renewal at the end of the pilot
